Chamonix
Between the Dormio Resorts in Flaine and Vallorcine lies the town of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, called Chamonix for short. As its name suggests, Chamonix lies at the foot of the famous Alpine giant Mont Blanc. Chamonix's convenient location in a valley between the ridges makes it a busy tourist destination. It therefore calls itself the 'world capital of mountaineering'.
Geneva
Geneva is about 1.5 hours' drive from the resort. The city has beautiful sights and a visit is definitely recommended. Should you go to the Swiss city, we recommend a visit to Parc des Bastions, Place du Bourg du Four & the St Pierre Cathedral.
